THE INSTRUMENT RATING
Obtaining an instrument rating is the next big step. This rating allows you to fly without outside visual references when under instrument flight rules. You will gain a broader understanding of the aviation system, will have more options in flight planning, and an overall greater knowledge base and confidence in the sky. The instrument rating allows you to fly under IFR, or instrument flight rules, and is the next major step toward becoming a professional aviator.
COMMERCIAL PILOT AND MORE!
As a commercial pilot you are on the track to becoming a professional aviator. Now you can receive compensation for certain types of flights and build your flight time. Minimum flight hours required for the commercial rating is 250 hours.
Aviation is boundless! Add a multiengine or seaplane rating, glider or balloon certification, and much more! Additional airmen certificates include Flight Instructor and Airline Pilot certificates. With aviation, the sky is no longer the limit!
